Tom describes his current work as "Color Fusion”, while exploring how different glazes overlap and melt together. He begins with what he calls a "blank canvas" of white porcelain clay on a potter's wheel and strives for simplicity of form. His pieces are then painted with layers of colored glazes and fired at a high temperature in a gas kiln. The result is unique and colorful works that are beautifully well crafted and extremely functional.
