She prepares a quick sketch and begins to paint. “I let go of reality and paint from the heart, which produces realism and abstraction, vibrating with colorful energy!” Patti Robbins
DAVID SETTINO SCOTT passed away in 2024. He had worked full time for over 45 years, as an artist in his studio in San Miguel, CA., and also taught art classes at Cuesta College. David’s work is best described as “California Primitive”. Characteristic of ‘primitivism’ practice is a willed naiveté, often accompanied by an opposition to formal, highly schooled and theoretical approaches to art-making, especially in painting. The primitive artist manifests a strong desire for personal authenticity and freedom of expression in their work.
Park Street Gallery is honored and pleased to be offering the last of David's Floral Series! Contact the gallery for more information.
Deb Piazza is an award-winning artist who creates abstract paintings that explore the quiet dialogue between nature, memory, and imagination. Through layers of form, texture and color, Deb builds spaces where the real and dreamlike converge. Her art is less about depicting specific places and more about evoking a sense of wonder, mystery and belonging. Drawn to contrasts-cool tones against warm bursts, organic patterns alongside graphic shapes, Debra reflects the way life itself holds both stillness and energy. Each painting is a process of discovery, emerging from fragments of the natural world, personal symbols, and spontaneous improvisation. Ultimately, her work is an invitation to pause, notice, and to enter landscapes where imagination and reality intertwine.

Jason Mayr grew up in the suburbs of Dallas, Texas and while in college he had the opportunity to view the Barnes collection of impressionistic paintings at the Amon Carter Museum in Fort Worth. It was there that his interest in art began in earnest. He was awe inspired by the way that the artists were able to create a scene and a mood simply with the juxtaposition of paint. Jason is known for his use of the chiaroscuro, (Light/Shadow) style. His very stylized paintings are reminiscent of the Old Dutch Masters.
